about the artist

Born, raised and educated in Canada, Judy’s last studio was in Inverness, Florida. She furthered her art studies at the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio and Fullerton College in California.

Her artwork incorporates the many skills of traditional, figurative sculpture. Models are used to bring a realistic representation along with the intangible essence of the subject to the viewer. All pieces are presented in bronze with richly textured surfaces adding tremendous character to each piece.The process used for producing the bronze is the lost wax method of casting. A touch of red can be found on each of Judy’s bronzes, a “signature” that has developed naturally over the years. This is at times obvious, at times very subtle, but always great fun for the viewer to find.

Judy died due to cancer in 2014. Her art lives on.
